THOMAS MICHAEL DOOLEY

Thomas Michael Dooley, age 67, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2018, at the Colmery- O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas.

An Inurnment Committal with Military Honors will take place at 1:30 p.m., April 20 th , 2018, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Thomas was born on November 2, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Robert B. Dooley and Hazel L. (Mahan) Dooley.

During January of 1969, at age 18, Thomas entered into the United States Army and bravely served his country in the Vietnam War, where he was wounded.

After his honorable discharge as a Retired Vietnam Veteran, Thomas went on to become an automotive technician and an appraiser in the Kansas City area.

Thomas was a member of the Freemasons.

In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed reading, fishing, and supporting his favorite teams- the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and the KU Jayhawks.

Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel L. Dooley; his father, Robert Dooley; and step-mother, Martha (Schuster) Dooley.

He is survived by his children, Bobby and Jeanine; his siblings, Pam Fuhr (husband, Mike), Robert "Bob" Dooley (wife, Barbara), and Beverly Trendy (husband, Ralph); along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
