WILMA VIRGINIA WASMER

Wilma V. Wasmer, age 80, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on December 27, 2016.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., funeral service will begin @ 11:00 am Saturday, December 31, at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 22139 Hwy. 52, Barnett, Missouri, 65011. Interment will be at Greenmore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Barnett, Missouri.

Wilma was born September 30, 1936 in Versailles, Missouri. She was the daughter of James Wesley and Molly (Hayes) Sidebottom.
On Feb. 6, 1954, Wilma was united in marriage to Paul Warren Wasmer. Together Wilma and Paul were blessed with five children, Michael, Phillip, Jay, Ward, and Nena. Wilma lovingly served her family as a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Molly Sidebottom; her husband of 55 years, Paul W. Wasmer; sisters, Rachel Naomi Wood, Margaret Wood, and Esther Houser, brother, James Alvin Sidebottom.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Wasmer (Connie), Phillip Wasmer (Paula), Jay Wasmer (Cheryl), and Ward Wasmer (Susan); daughter, Nena Hiatt (Dennis);
Brothers), Paul Sidebottom, Raymond Sidebottom (Janice) Ronald Sidebottom (Francis) and Herbert Sidebottom (Peggy); sisters, Goldie Branstetter, Ruby Weaver, and Mary Hall; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and expecting 3 more and one great-great granddaughter.
