WILMA K. MACKEY
Wilma K. Mackey, age 82, of Belton, Missouri, passed away October 24, 2016 at Research Medical Center, in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral Service begins at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28 at Belton Assembly of God Church, 613 E North Ave, Belton, MO 64012. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Mission Fund c/o of Belton Assembly of God Church.
Wilma was born February 17, 1934 in Sparta, Missouri. She was the daughter of John D. Ladd and Emma E. (Evans) Ladd. After graduating from high school Wilma was united in marriage with Charles "Chuck" E. Mackey on February 27, 1953. Together, Wilma and Chuck were blessed with four children, John, Mona, Sharla, and Becky.
Wilma loved and cared for her family as an Air Force wife and homemaker. She was a follower of Christ, with a heart of a servant. Wilma loved her church and was a member of the Belton Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry, Ronald and Thomas Ladd; sisters, Claire Rainwater and Nadine Simons.
She is survived by her husband of over 63 years of marriage, Charles E. Mackey; son, John C. Mackey (Angelika); daughters, Mona R. Fredrick (Richard), Sharla L. Mackey, and Becky S. Hand (Max); brothers, Robert Ladd (Sumiko) and Ralph Ladd; sisters, Peggy Neil (David), Brenda Johnson (Keith), Sharon Mammorella (John), Patricia Ladd, and Grace Sinclair; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
