WESLEY EUGENE THOMPSON
Wesley Eugene Thompson, 57, of Belton, MO passed away February 26, 2014. Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Grandview Community of Christ Church 12600 Byars Rd. Grandview, MO 64030, which will include a Mic-O-Say ceremony. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64105 or The Boy Scouts of America 10210 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131. Wesley was born June 6, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Russell and Ann Roberts Cartmill. He was preceded in death by his birth father and foster parents, John and Mildred Thompson. Wesley is survived by his son, Avery Michael-Eugene Thompson; birth mother, Ann Sword; brother, Russell Thompson; sisters, Tressie Smith and Jessie Marshall (Stevens); aunt, Laura Cooley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Wesley was a member of The Boy Scouts of America Troop #285 at Raytown Christian Church. He was a Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say with the Warrior name "Least Sweet Bubbling Water".
