WANDA FAY MUSTAIN

Wanda Fay Mustain, Age 83, passed away on August 23, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Wanda Fay was born on July 23, 1939 to Garland and Ruby Christian in Pyatt, Arkansas. After graduating high school, she pursued a degree in education at Southwest Missouri State University. Later she received a master's degree from Central Missouri State University. She loved working as a home economics teacher and touched the lives of countless children for 30 years. Her knowledge of homemaking, etiquette, and making life beautiful was felt everywhere she went.

In 1967 she met Gayles Drexel Mustain. Their union was blessed with two children, Garland and Chris. Wanda Fay adored her sons, centering her attention around them and their families. She had six grandchildren, Garrett, Katelynn, Dawson, Shelby, Taylor and Tristan. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Wanda Fay knew that she was passionate about many things, but her grandkids were at the top of the list! Time spent with them was a perfect day in her book. She also had a passion for sewing. The clothing and quilts that she designed and created were seen throughout her home and treasured by many. Wanda Fay had five siblings who were very dear to her as well as her nieces and nephews. Though she lived far from them, she worked hard to keep their special relationships strong.

Wanda Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Garland Christian, her sister Vera Sue Christian, and her son Garland Drexel Mustain. She is survived by her husband, Drexel, and her son Chris Mustain.

A visitation service will be on Thursday, August 25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, Missouri. There will also be a graveside service at the Belton Cemetery on Friday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m.
