WALTER B. SMITH, JR.
Walter B. Smith, Jr., 90, of Belton, MO passed away May 19, 2016. A private family service will be held in Pittsburg, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy #200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Walter was born April 11, 1926 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Walter B. Smith, Sr. and Alvaretti (Crowder) Smith. Walter was a US Army Veteran, serving during WWII.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Nellie (Betty) R. Smith; two brothers, James and Charlie Smith; and four sisters, Dorolis Bowen, Martha Willey, Anne Enloe and Bertha Blazor. He is survived by his daughter, Terri Barry and husband Jack; brother, Harry Smith; and two granddaughters, Rachel and Alli.
