VICKI L. FOULK

Vicki L. Foulk, 67, of Lee's Summit, MO passed away January 15, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 7 PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation from 5-7 PM. Graveside services will be 3 PM Friday, January 22, 2016 at Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO. Memorial contribution may be made to Lee's Summit Special Olympics, 9001 W 67th street, Merriam, KS 66202 and Camp ChiMer http://www.campsforkids.org/camps/campchimer.html (camp for transplant kids) . The transplant camp is near to her heart as she had given a kidney to her dad in 1985. Vicki was born July 30, 1948 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of James A. and Margaret A. (Wilson) Choate. She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Choate. She is survived by her loving husband, Terry J. Foulk of 42 years; three children, James, Nicole Dawson (Steve), and Daniel (Courtney); brother, Greg Choate; two grandchildren, Samuel and Nicholas Dawson, and one on the way (Franklin Foulk). Vicki was a 1966 graduate of Grandview H.S. and attended UMKC studying Pre-med. Her love of helping others guided her to work with children. She spent 10+ years helping out with the Youth at Aldersgate Methodist Church as well as several other organizations previously. She started working for the Lee's Summit School district as a special Ed. para in 1997. Her last 15 years were spent at Summit Lakes Middle School where she was loved by students and staff alike. She made a positive impact wherever she went and will be greatly missed by all.
