VELMA L. McWHIRT
Velma L. McWhirt, 91, of Belton, MO passed away August 16, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, August 19, 2013 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation Noon-1:00 PM. Burial will be in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, MO. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Velma was born June 23, 1922 in Birdsong, Missouri, the daughter of Harley Elkins and Flossie Maupin. Velma was preceded in death by her parents and step-son, Charles; brothers, Robert and James and sister, Mary. She is survived by her husband, Charles; step-sons, Robert and James McWhirt; sister, Beulah Parris; brother, Sherman Elkins and several nieces and nephews.
