VELMA LOUISE JOHNSON
Velma Louise Johnson, 86, of Belton, MO passed away October 19, 2013 at the home. There will be private family services. Memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice. Louise was born September 18, 1927 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of James M. and Mabel Haines Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Augusta Fletcher; brothers, John and Kenneth Lane and grandson, Timothy Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Melvin K. Johnson of 69 years; son, Jim Johnson and wife Charlotte; daughters, Jean Ohler and husband Steve, Melva Surls and husband Paul; sisters, Dorothy Taggart (Gene), Cora Biggs, Helen Granneman, Mary Nelson, Naomi Seaton (Don) and Edith Rooker; five grandchildren, Jamie, Amy Louise, Adam, Christina Louise and John; three great grandchildren, Kaleb, Henry and Lucinda Louise.
