VELMA RUTH DINNEEN

Velma Ruth Dinneen, of Belton, MO passed away peacefully August 29, 2015 at Kansas City Hospice House with family present by her side.

Velma was born on October 5, 1927 in St. Louis, MO. She leaves behind her husband of 69 years, John F. Dinneen. She is preceded in death by her son, James. She also leaves behind three sons, one daughter, one brother and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Velma was involved in retail sales, was a child care provider and an entrepreneur. Her many interests included square dancing, round dancing, quilting, sewing and oil painting. Her church home was at the Grace Baptist Church of Lee's Summit, MO where she sang as a soloist in the choir. Velma greatly enjoyed using her time and talents to serve others and was always willing to help those in need.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Monday, August 31, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church 850 SW 150 Highway Lee's Summit, MO 64082 with visitation 10-11 AM. Graveside will be Noon September 1, 2015 in Crocker Cemetery in Crocker, MO. Monetary donations in Velma R. Dinneen's name to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
