VELMA R. CARNEY
Velma R. Carney, 95, of Lee's Summit, MO passed away April 27, 2016 at Wilshire at Lakewood surrounded by her loving family. Private family services at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilshire at Lakewood 600 NE Meadowview Dr. Lee's Summit, MO 64064. Velma was born March 18, 1921 in Almena, Kansas, the daughter of George and Hulda (McCall) Zellmer. Velma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester Paul Carney, Sr.; son, Kenneth D. Carney; sister, Maxine Schemper; brother, Charles William Zellmer; and infant brother, Richard O. Zellmer. She is survived by her sons, Chester Paul Carney, Jr., Bob Lee Carney (Charlotte), Charles A. Carney (Renee), Willard Joe Carney (Theresa) and Max C. Carney (Mary Maxwell); daughters, Cynthia H. Donati (Alfred), Ila Mae Washington and Luella P. Carney (Chris Filip); and 78 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
