VALERIE ANN DEAN

Valerie “Val” Ann Dean, age 69, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Val’s life is pending at this time.

Val was born in Montebello, California on August 3, 1956, the daughter of Olen Neal Montgomery and Florence Ann McGuire. In life, Val was blessed with two wonderful children, Christina and Matthew. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, spending every chance she could with her family and friends.

Val was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Florence Montgomery.

She is survived by her two children, Christina Weaver (George) and Matthew Taylor; four grandchildren, Ella and Callie Weaver, Luke and Charlotte Taylor; two brothers, Steve and Scott Montgomery; and sister, Renee Jones.

She lived with purpose rooted in love for her family. Being a mother and grandmother was not simply a role — it was her calling. She lovingly cared for her grandchildren, treasuring the everyday moments that meant the most. Her radiant smile and gentle kindness were gifts she freely shared, often going out of her way to brighten someone else’s day. No one loved cheering on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals more than she did — game days were filled with enthusiasm, loyalty, and heart. She will be deeply and forever missed.

She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and devotion that will continue to shine through her family.
