VADA DEAN JOHNSON

Vada Dean Johnson, age 90 passed away November 15, 2012 surrounded by her daughters, family and friends at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore, MO. Vada was born Feb. 23, 1922 in Trenton, MO to Lester and Edna June (Foland) Meighen in Trenton, MO. That is where she grew up and graduated from Trenton High on May 16, 1940 and married Frank Leroy Johnson a WWII Veteran on Nov. 9, 1940 in Trenton, MO. They lived in Trenton until the early 1950's and then moved to Independence, MO. Vada had worked for Sears for 30 years before retiring. Vada and Frank were members of Wesley United Methodist Church at which she was baptized on March 5, 1972. One sister, Doris Ruth Armstrong and her husband Frank, precedes Vada in death. She leaves one sister Phyllis Faye Lenhardt of Raymore, MO and one brother, Gene Ebert "Bobby" Meighen of Springfield, MO, two daughters, Nancy Kay Carter and Cheryl June and husband Leonard Louis Meador. She also leaves six grandchildren, Debra Kay Tharp, Christopher Joseph Mosbauer, Jeffrey Louis Meador, Michele Denise and husband Ronald Lee Sherrow, Tracy Lynne Meador and Michael Shawn and wife Mary Susan Meador, ten great grandchildren, Joseph Shane Craig, Amanda Nichole and husband Steve Thurman, Harold Dustin Titus, Patrick Ryan Price, Samantha Marie Meador, Tiffany Leigh and husband Brett Alan Turner, Austin Cain Meador, Kaitlyn Danielle Meador, Kaycie Nicole Lukens, and Courtney Rose Meador and four GG Grandchildren, Zachary Lee Thurman, Joseph Ryan Craig, Michael Conrad Thurman and Diesel Alan Turner. Memorial services will be 2 PM Tuesday, Nov. 20th at Bromwell Lounge at Foxwood Spring Living Center. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Trenton, MO.
