TURNER J. COGGINS

Turner J. Coggins, age 74, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home, on Sunday, April 8 ^th , 2018.

Private family services will take place at a later date.

Turner was born on Tuesday, May 18, 1943, in Blytheville, Arkansas. He was the son of Shelby Turner Coggins and Wilma Lee Howell Coggins.

For over 30 years, Turner was a master painter of Corvettes for General Motors, until his retirement.

Turner possessed an eye for detail and composition, and he used his talent not only as a painter, but also in his creative passion for landscaping. His hobbies included shooting long rifles and playing pool. Turner enjoyed cooking and barbequing for his family and friends. He was also a lifelong and faithful fan of his favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals.

Turner was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby and Wila Coggins; his stepdaughter, Jamie Rogers; brother, Jerry Coggins; and his sister, Shirley Thomas.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Kathy J. Coggins; his children, David Coggins (wife, Stephanie), Mark Coggins (wife, Tonya), Sheila Steinmetz (husband, Tim), Melanie Voice (husband, Steve), Kristi Pratt (husband, Troy), and Toni Travis (husband, Joseph); brother, Don Coggins, fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
