TONAH JEANNE EBERHART

Tonah Jeanne Eberhart, age 82, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri.

A private, graveside service will be held for the family. A celebration of her life for friends and family will be scheduled at a later date.

Tonah was born in Heavener, Oklahoma on June 19, 1938 to Charles S. Taylor and Roxie P. (Lynch) Taylor. After graduating from Heavener High School, Tonah went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and then her Master of Science in Education at Emporia State University. In the summer of 1962, Tonah married her loving husband Roger on August 4th in Leavenworth, Kansas following his honorable service in the United States Army. Together they were blessed with three children, Chris, Gina, and Chad. For many years, Tonah worked as a teacher in Raytown, Missouri. In life, Tonah was a member of the Connections Committee for Fountains of Raintree as well as the Raytown Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, traveling, shopping, and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible.

Tonah was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Roxie Taylor; brother, Harold D. Taylor; and sister, Lois Taylor Sokolosky.

She leaves behind her loving husband of over fifty-eight years, Roger H. Eberhart; two sons, Chris Eberhart (Teresa) and Chad Eberhart; daughter, Gina (Eberhart) Lewis (Keith); and five grandchildren, Dillon Lewis, Darby Lewis, Kate Lewis, Claire Eberhart, and Ashlen Eberhart.
