THOMAS G. ANSTEAD

Thomas "Tom" G. Anstead, age 68, of Grandview, Missouri passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., with Celebration of Life visitation from 2:00-2:30 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be given to the family to help with end of life expenses.

Tom was born on June 16, 1949. He was the son of Marvin and Alice Anstead. After attending college, Tom went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. He went on to work for Roberts Chevrolet as a car salesman. For several years, Tom worked as the general manager of Sonny Hill Motors before moving on to Kahan Chevrolet. Tom was very successful in sales and received many GM awards for his outstanding service.

Tom loved spending time with his family and joining his friends during afternoons at their favorite gathering spots, attending Royals games, and relaxing at home, watching the Kansas City Chiefs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one granddaughter, Lilly Anstead.
He is survived by his wife of almost 28 years, Rhonda Anstead (married on August 12, 1989); his children, Tommie Jordan (Len), Tim Anstead (Robin), Tena Anstead-Martin, and Kelly Lara (Tomas); 11 grandchildren, Tara, Cheyenne, Avonlea, Nicki, Maggie, Timothy, Cameron, Olivia, Tia, Holli, and Joshua; 3 great-grandchildren, Gracie, Asher, and Lizzie; Tom's sister, Deborah McCart; niece, Jennifer; nephew, Jason, and many friends.
