THERESE R. STEGNER
Therese R. Stegner, age 51, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away at home on Friday, December 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by the visitation until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 MO-150, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64082. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church followed by an interment at Belton Cemetery.
Therese was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 14, 1970 to William Piper and Janice (May) Piper. After graduating from Belton High School, Therese continued her education attending Avila University earning a Bachelor degree in Social Work. She then received her Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas. In the spring of 2011, Therese was joined in marriage with her husband Mike on April 2nd. With her love of social work, Therese worked as a clinical social worker with the Kansas Department of Health and Aging as well as performed adoption home studies for various attorneys. Therese was a woman of Catholic faith, attending Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Therese was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Stegner; mother, Janice Piper, father William and his wife Angela Piper; two bonus sons, Brian and Mark Stegner; bonus daughter, Caitlyn Stegner; and two sisters, Kimberly Piper and Beth Thomson, along with several nieces, nephews, and bonus grandkids.
