Teddie Narver Hayes
Teddie Narver Hayes, 74, of Kansas City, MO passed away May 29, 2016. Funeral service will be held at Laurel Hill First Baptist Church, Laurel Hill, NC on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1pm. Burial will be in Patterson Memorial Cemetery, Laurinburg, NC with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America (vva.org/donate/).
Teddie was born January 24, 1942 in Durham, North Carolina, the son of Jake and Alice (Hall) Hayes. Teddie was a Carver High School graduate of the 1961 Alumni. Teddie served in the US Army and retired with over 44 years of active duty and Army Reserve.
Teddie was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Harry, Willie and Eddie Hall; and four sisters, Carrie Everette, Lou Graham, Carlyn Dockery, Creva Hall and Carrie Hayes.
He is survived by his son, Teddie N. Hayes II; daughter, Lakisha Hayes; four sisters, Ada Cotton, Trula Haliburten, Estella Hayes (Simuel Hines) and Christine Hayes; and six brothers, Josh Hayes (Willie), Jake Hayes Jr., Lewis Dockery (Barbra), Eugene Dockery (Barbra), Jerome Hayes and Willie Hayes.
