In Loving Memory of Sun Ae Cho-Laubenstein

Sun Ae Cho-Laubenstein, age 87, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at the Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Sun Ae Cho-Laubenstein was born on December 20, 1938, in Seoul, South Korea. At the age of 19, she courageously began a new chapter in her life, becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1957.

She was a devoted and loving mother to three sons: Charles R. Allen (67) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Robert F. Allen (64) of Raymore, Missouri; and Sean H. Allen (60) of Nevada, Missouri. Her family meant everything to her, and she took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of her children.

Sun Ae was a talented beautician and successful business owner, operating and managing several salons over a remarkable 50-year career. Through her work, she touched countless lives, building not only thriving businesses but lasting friendships.

She had a passion for dancing of all kinds and found joy and peace in gardening—both reflections of her vibrant spirit and love of beauty.

She leaves behind a treasured legacy of 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Sun Ae Cho-Laubenstein will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. Her strength, warmth, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
