STUART B. FRENCH
Stuart B. French, age 84, of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2019 at his home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
Stuart was born on March 27, 1935 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the son of Gibbon K. French and Donna M. (West) French. Growing up Stuart had three sisters, Eleanor, Barbara, and Patricia as well as three brothers, Bob, Don, and Russ. After high school, he served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Stuart went on to further his education at the University of California Berkley and achieved a bachelor's degree in political science. On February 28, 1976 Stuart was joined in marriage with his loving wife, Kathryn (Sullivan) French. Together they cherished many years. In life, Stuart was blessed with five children, Jennifer, Brian, Melanie, Stephanie, and Aimee.
Stuart enjoyed many things in life, including hiking, gardening, and talking politics. A very educated man, Stuart worked within the insurance industry for over forty years. He was the owner and operator of Frontier Adjusters before finally retiring.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Gibbon and Donna French; two sisters, Eleanor French, and Barbara Ruddy; and three brothers, Bob French, Don French, and Russ French.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathryn French; son Brian C. French (Kelley); four daughters, Jennifer Rabuchin (Brad), Melanie Pilgrim (Bryan), Stephanie Ellis (Earl), and Aimee Starr (Russell); sister Patricia Deef; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kansas City Hospice, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy #200, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.
