STEVEN JOHN KEMPINGER

Steven John Kempinger (Steve) of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on July 26, 2017. We will celebrate Steve's life with a visitation at Cullen Funeral Home (Raymore, MO) on Wednesday, August 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Cullen Funeral Home on Thursday, August 3 at 11:00 a.m.

Steve was born on March 13, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up with a love of baseball, fishing and The Beatles. Steve had a passion for playing music from an early age and was a drummer in a band for many of his early years. He gave his daughter, Stefanie, her first little drum set.

Steve was a master painter and had special skills in staining wood, creating his own custom stains. He loved playing games and watching football games with his friends and family. He was proud of his ability to cook, especially his spaghetti.

Steve's laugh was unique and contagious and he always had a big smile for his family.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Edward John and Elsie Lee Kempinger. He is survived by his daughter, Stefanie Kempinger; granddaughters Ariana and Emmani; siblings Sheryl Mielcarek, Glen Kempinger, Gary Kempinger, Jamie Kempinger and Lea Mumma (Paul); and nieces Ginny Walkington (Lee) and Celie Mumma.
