SHIRLEY J. HALBUR

Shirley J. Halbur, age 86, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away February 23, 2017 at Foxwood Springs Living Center of Raymore. Memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Raymore. A private burial will take place in Floral Hills Cemetery of Kansas City, MO.

Shirley was born October 21, 1930 in Polo, Missouri. She was the daughter of Earl R. Hauser and Grace (Davis) Hauser. Shirley received her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Missouri during the spring of 1968. She was a reading specialist at Belvidere Elementary School in Grandview, Missouri until her retirement in 1998.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Grace Hauser; her sister, Nancy McCollough. She is survived by her children, Dr. Stephen Lacey (Ann) and Pamela Thomason (John); sister, Charlotte Phillips Hinkle (Cleo); grandchildren, Lt. Cmdr. Brent Lacey, M.D. (Catherine), Carol Lacey McGuire (Dan), Nathan Earl Lacey (Courtney), Megan Thomason Muecke (David), Michael Thomason (Rebecca); four great-grandchildren, Grant, Paul, Simon, and Claire.

Memorial Contributions in Shirley's honor may be given to the First Baptist Church of Raymore, 116 S. Washington Street, Raymore, Missouri 64083.
