SHARON M. FINDLEY
Sharon M. Findley, age 53, of Raymore, Missouri, was taken into God's arms November 8, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, with visitation from 11:00 -1:00 p.m. at Lee's Summit United Methodist Church, 114 South East Douglas Lee's Summit, MO 64063. A private family burial will take place in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64145.
Sharon was born on August 2, 1963 in Kirkwood, Missouri. She was the daughter of Gene and Cathleen (Sullivan) Izard. On November 1, 1981, Sharon married the love of her life, Andrew G. Findley. Together they were blessed with three children, Ryan, Megan, and Lauren.
Sharon worked in the field of education as a payroll coordinator for the Ray-Pec School District, and was an avid Ray-Pec Panther fan frequently seen in the stands on Friday nights. Throughout Sharon's life you could find her cheering her daughters at their softball games and bragging about her children's accomplishments. In more recent years Sharon became an advocate for other breast cancer fighters and would help them with their journey. Ultimately Sharon was passionate about her family, friends, and faith, and cherished every moment of her beautiful life she built alongside husband Andy. She was also a member of the Lee's Summit United Methodist Church.
Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Izard; and one sister, Tamara Lomax.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Andrew "Andy" G. Findley; her son, Ryan A. Findley (Wynette), two daughters, Megan M. Gordon (Jimmy), and Lauren A. Davis (Chris); parents, Cathleen and Gene Izard; her sisters, Debbie Prawl (Brian) and Beth Nigro; brother-in-law, Cliff Lomax; and two grandchildren, Grace and Colton.
