SHARON JEAN CARNEY

Sharon Jean Carney (née Davis), 65, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on October 25, 2026.

Born on June 3, 1961, to Elizabeth J. (Oberly) Davis and Noble E. Davis, Sharon dedicated her life to helping others, earning her Registered Nurse degree from Research College of Nursing in 1982. Though she held numerous professional nursing and caregiving roles, her caring nature extended far beyond her career. A devoted animal lover, she compassionately cared for many pets throughout her life. Some of her favorite moments were quiet ones spent curled up with her newest library book and her dogs by her side. Sharon also found delight in browsing shops for special treasures and giving thoughtful gifts to those she loved. Above all, Sharon’s greatest devotion was to her family, and the warmth and love she showed to everyone around her will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Sharon is survived by her mother, Elizabeth J. Davis, and her sister, Kimberly J. Kieffer (David). She was a proud and devoted mother to her children: Jason Carney (Vickie), Jonathan Carney, Jordan Baker (Adam), and Jantz Carney. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Everett Baker, Sophia Carney, and Graham Baker; her nieces, Kelly Kieffer Sohasky and Lauren Kieffer; her nephew, Andrew Kieffer; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Noble E. Davis.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, Missouri. Family and friends are welcome to gather, reflect, and celebrate Sharon’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sharon’s honor to KC Pet Project.
