Sarah J. Klein, age 63, of Raymore, Missouri departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, August 24, 2020.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. following the visitation at Cullen Funeral Home. A burial will be held on a later date at Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, Missouri.
Sarah, a woman of the White Mountain Apache Tribe – Butterfly Clan was born in White River, Arizona on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation on February 28, 1957. At the age of five, Sarah was adopted by her parents William A. Shockley and Emma Jean (Gilke) Shockley. At the age of 18, she was joined in marriage with her husband Charles "Chuck" Klein. In life, Sarah was blessed with three children, Glenn, Marla, and Matthew. Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow. She also was a member of the Deer Creek Sportsman Club, loved to paint, hunt, fish, photograph, and travel.
Sarah was preceded in death by her biological parents, Knapp Chissay and Lena (Lupe) Pina, her adoptive parents, William and Emma Jean Shockley, and her biological brother Nelfew Chissay.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband of over forty-five years, Charles Klein; two sons, Glenn Shockley (Angela) and Matthew Klein (Jill); daughter, Marla Sanders (Christopher); adopted brother, Wayne Shockley; twelve grandchildren, Kevin, Robyn, Ashley Nicole, Melanie, Ashley Marie, Christopher, William, Gabriel, Samuel, Elijah, Noah, and Sawyer; and six great grandchildren.
Sarah is also survived by her biological sister Sariah Chissay, her brothers Belfew Chissay and Oliver Pina, and numerous grandchildren.
