Obituary

SANDRA "SANDY" KAY DICKINSON

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Sandy Kay Dickinson on February 6, 2025, at the age of 74. Sandy passed away peacefully surrounded by all of her siblings, sons and her niece. Her sister Robin sang "What A Day That Will Be" in Sandy's final moments, providing a heartfelt farewell.

Sandy was known for her strength and determination. Fondly called a "pit bull" by her former bosses for her tenacity, as she approached every challenge with unwavering resolve.

Sandy's life was filled with love and compassion. She was a devoted mother, a supportive sister, a loved aunt, and a loving grandma and great grandma. She was so proud of her greatest accomplishments, her two sons. Her warmth and infectious laughter left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Fern and Orla Nielssen. She is survived by her siblings, Robin and Andy Cornelius, Wendy Sue and David Taitano, Norman and Julie Nielssen, and Patricia Hubbard; her sons, Chris Dickinson, Courtney and Zippy Dickinson; her niece, Toosdhi and Joe Abner; her nephew, Robert Nielssen; two grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Shadow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute 4401 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64111.

Arrangements: Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., Raymore, Missouri 816.322.5278
