SANDRA JOYCE HARRISON

Sandra (Sandy) Joyce Harrison, age 50, of Peculiar, Missouri passed away August 10th, 2017 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17th, 2017 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 18th at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Peculiar Cemetery in Peculiar, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be given to New Life Community Church, 16111 Vicie Ave, Belton, MO 64012.

Sandy was born June 18th, 1967, in Springfield, Missouri. She was the daughter of Matthew Davis, Jr. and Geraldine (Simmons) Sperry. On October 15, 1994, Sandy was united in marriage with Richard (Rick) S. Harrison. Together, Sandy and Rick were blessed with three sons, Ricky, Brandon, and Shane.

Sandy dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, cooking and fishing.
For over 26 years, Sandy lovingly helped support her family by owning her own housecleaning business. As a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Sandy took every opportunity through her vocation to lead many people to the LORD.

Anyone who knew Sandy knew that she loved her Savior. She was not ashamed of the gospel, and she was bold to approach complete strangers in order to share the gospel of grace with them. Sandy was a member of the New Life Community Church, and enjoyed the fellowship of her church family.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Richard S. Harrison; her sons, Richard M.D. Harrison, Brandon D. S. Harrison, and Shane M.D. Harrison; her siblings, Debbie Mesplay (Dave), Mary Powers (Rick), Martha Maynard (Rick), David Genetti (Janelle), and Larry Grah; several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
