SANDRA LEE CLEVELAND
Sandra Lee Cleveland, 68, of Raymore, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, December 2, 2012. She is once again reunited with her God, and has prepared herself well for the next life through vigilant study, prayer, and faith.
Sandra was born July 2, 1944, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of LaVern and Nellie Chesnut. Upon graduating from Ruskin High School in 1962, she was employed by Avon before working for the Grandview School District for 25 years. Sandra enjoyed being a Longaberger consultant for many years. She was a member of the Grandview Community of Christ / R.L.D.S. church, where she was very active.
In 1964, she married Jack Cleveland and later welcomed two sons into the world, Gregg and Doug. She devoted her life to being a wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend, and lived an unassuming life of service always making the needs of others a priority. After marrying, they settled in Grandview before moving to Raymore in 1993. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Jack of 48 years; son Gregg and his wife Marian of Fenton, MO; son Doug of Lee's Summit, MO; grandchildren Abbey Lee and Tyler; sisters Connie (Don) Isham, Leawood, KS; Janet Bower, Grandview, MO; Sharon (John) Dye, Raymore, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday December 5th from 5:00-7:00PM at the Grandview Community of Christ, 12600 Byars Rd., Grandview, MO. A celebration of her life will follow at 7PM, with the opportunity to continue visiting afterward. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114, and/or to a scholarship established in Sandra's name through The Grandview Education Foundation, PO Box 546, Grandview, MO 64030.
