ROY LEE PURDY SR.

Roy Lee Purdy Sr., age 65, of Belton, Missouri passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, Missouri.

Roy was born at Truman Medical Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri on January 25, 1956 to Crameley Young and Dorothy (Purdy) Young. Roy spent most of his working life as a mechanic working on vehicles. He was a man of Christian faith attending the Assembly of God in Belton. Roy enjoyed trips to the casino and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sherry Sue Purdy; and parents, Crameley and Dorothy Young.

He is survived by his loving children, Roy Purdy Jr. and Brandy Purdy; three brothers, Jerry, Dave, and Rob Young; sister, Pamela Young; and six grandchildren, Mistin Gregg, Justin Gregg, Kaetilynn Rivira, Jaiden Dehghani, Kaeden Purdy, and Abigayl Purdy.
