ROY C. KENAGY
Roy C. Kenagy, age 92, of Raymore, Missouri, passed on peacefully to be with Jesus, his LORD and Savior, on September 20, 2017, and was surrounded by the love of his family.
Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Burial will take place in Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, Missouri.
Roy was born October 8, 1924, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Valette and Eva (Loudon) Kenagy. Roy graduated from William Chrisman High School in the class of 1942. Two weeks after graduation, at age 17, Roy entered into the Navy and bravely served his country during World War II.
On June 19, 1946, Roy was united in marriage with Betty L. Morris and together they were blessed with four children, Berneda, Cheryll, Christopher, and John.
Roy lovingly supported his family as a purchasing agent for Reno Construction until his retirement. He also worked as a machine operator for the Lake City Ammunition Plant.
For over fifty years, Roy was a Freemason of the Eastgate #630.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, 7 siblings, his son, Christopher L. Kenagy; great granddaughter, Ramona Jones; and son-in-law, Mike Bultemeier.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty L. Kenagy; children, Berneda L. Jones (Mark), Cheryll S. Bultemeier, and John D. Kenagy (Anne); 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
