ROY LEE CRISWELL

Roy Lee Criswell, age 87, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 surrounded by his loving family members.

A visitation service will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. following visitation. Interment will be held following the funeral at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, Missouri.

Roy Lee was born on February 7, 1933 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Roy Virgil Criswell and Gertie (Blair) Criswell. After graduating high school, Roy Lee continued his education for a few years before entering his ministry preaching Christianity. In life, the church and family were most important to Roy Lee. While living in Aurora, Missouri he won volunteer of the year aware after spending much of his own time at local nursing homes. In the spring of 1960, Roy Lee entered into marriage with his wife, Zella (Rose) on April 16 ^th in Dallas, Texas. Together they were blessed with five children, Ernie, Mike, Angela, Deborah, and George. They also spent many years together doing mission work within the United States and two years in Africa.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Virgil "RV" Criswell and Gertie Criswell.

He is survived by his loving wife of over fifty-nine years, Zella Criswell; three sons, Ernie Criswell (Anettia), Mike Criswell (Beth), and George Battey (Peggy); two daughters, Angela Stockam (Scott) and Deborah Carbajal; two brothers, Harold Dean Criswell (Patricia) and Jimmy Criswell (Larrie); thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
