ROSALIE LEACH
Rosalie Leach, age 70, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away on June 14, 2018, at Belton Regional Medical Center.
A Memorial service will begin
at 6:00 p.m.
, with visitation
from 5:00-6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 19, 2018
, at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri.
Rosalie was born on December 20, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Arthur and Louise (Sebolt) Tompkins.
On August 1, 1970, Rosalie was united in marriage with Jim Leach. Together, Rosalie and Jim shared over 47 years of marriage and three wonderful daughters, Kerrian, Kelli, and Kasondra.
Rosalie attended Central Missouri State University and received her Master's degree in Education. Rosalie went on to become a teacher in the Raymore-Peculiar School District where she taught for 31 years until her retirement. After her retirement, Rosalie continued her love for teaching in the Kansas City Charter Schools for another 10 years. Several awards she received from teaching at Raymore-Peculiar School District were the Apple Award for outstanding and dedicated service, Raymore Optimist Award in recognition of superior achievements and efforts, and Teacher of the Month Award.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Louise Tompkins.
Rosalie is survived by her loving husband, Jim Leach; her daughters, Kerrian Leach, Kelli Johnson (husband, Lee), and Kasondra Leach; beloved granddaughter, Kearnan Johnson ; two sisters, Mary Carter (husband, Jim), Margaret Tompkins, mother-in-law, Betty Leach; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Lemken (husband, Richard), and Mary Bryant.
