RONALD DALE SARGERT

Ronald Dale Sargert, age 78, of Raymore, Missouri peacefully passed away at his home on September 10th, 2020.

Ron was born on December 15, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Ruskin in 1959, where he played basketball, football, track and field, and met his wife Karen Garrett.  He played basketball at William Jewell College. Ron was an engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers in Kansas City. In 1993 he transferred to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill. He retired in 2005.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Karen Garrett Sargert.  He will be dearly missed by his three children: Darren Sargert of Raymore, MO, Brian Sargert (wife, Tanya) of Lee's Summit, MO, and Stacey Zahn (husband, Jason) of Tulsa, OK. Ron leaves behind eight grandchildren; Kirstin, Zack, Jake, Nick, Bryce, and Sierra Sargert, all residing in the Kansas City area; and Hunter and Parker Zahn who reside in Tulsa, OK. Ron also has one great grandchild, Isaac Aviles.

Ron's love was his family, they always came first in everything he did.  Ron was loving, loyal and quite the prankster. He loved attending all of his family's sporting events, traveling hundreds of miles if need be. He also enjoyed KU basketball, fishing and hunting.

There will be a small family service at a later date.
