ROBERTA A. CAIN
Roberta A. Cain, age 94, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Roberta was born on August 12, 1924 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Roy D. Marsh and Nora McFadden. Growing up, Roberta was one of six children.
After high school Roberta went to Philadelphia and work at the Navy ship yard making plane parts. There she met and married a Navy sailor, Luther L. Linnartz. Together, they had three children, Joyce, Carol and William. At the age of 26, she became widowed and moved to Washington D.C. with her three children to work in the U.S. Air office for many years. After retiring she moved to the Kansas City area. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Robert was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther L. Linnartz; daughter, Carol Pettit; two brothers; three sisters; granddaughter, Lisa Buasri; and son in-law, Cliff Hughs.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Hughs; son, William Linnartz (wife, Sharon); eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
