IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert John
Russo
September 17, 1945 – August 5, 2025
In loving memory of
Robert (Bobby) Russo
1945-2025
Robert, better known as Bobby to family and friends, he was number 10 of 12 children born to Joseph and Anna Russo in Chicago, Illinois on September 17, 1945.
Bobby was intelligent and kept up to date on world affairs and was extremely knowledgeable in world history. He knew what happened, when it happened and where.
Being a movie enthusiast, he liked action and war movies the best and enjoyed reviewing them with family and friends.
He loved his large family, so when he married later in life, he accepted his wife's family as his own, spending hours entertaining them with food, stories, movies and video games. His home was their home. 'Mi casa su casa' was his way.
After diligently studying electrical wiring and schematics under his brother-in-law Ed, he became a master electrician, earning his living at Berry Bearing Company in Cicero, Illinois, where he gained employment with his brother Art.
He had been known to do some charity work, but you could never say anything about that because he was macho man.
He had traveled the world, something most people only dream of. Europe, China and South America were some of the places he visited however in the most recent years, he spent a lot of time in Mexico with his wife Bertha and her family.
Being fond of Bertha's mother, Mexico will be his final destination. His wish was to be buried next to her.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Bertha and 2 siblings, Annie (Tom) and Brian (Eileen).
He is preceded in death by 9 siblings Ralph, Lorraine, Joe, Arlene, Ebba, Art, Alice, Ronnie and Karine.
Rest peacefully now.
