ROBERT L. LEIST

Robert "Bob" L. Leist, age 85, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Foxwood Living Center.

A Visitation Service will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 followed immediately by a Funeral Service at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A Burial will take place following the Funeral Service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64138.

Bob was born in Macon County, Missouri. He was the son of Gail Leist and Louise (Stroppel) Leist. Robert was one of four children including, Mary Margaret, Ruth Ann, and Rebecca.

After graduating high school, Bob served his country in the United States Army. In the summer of 1957, Bob was joined in marriage with his wife Elaine on June 23 ^rd . Together they were blessed with three children, Beth, David and Kathy. And later in life they were blessed with five grandchildren. Bob worked as a lineman for Kansas City Power and Light for thirty years before retiring. He very much enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Gail and Louise Leist; son, David Leist; sister, Rebecca Leist; and two nephews, Steven Nash and Kevin Morgan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elaine Leist; two daughters, Beth Kurzava and Kathy Parker (Keith); two sisters, Mary Margaret Nash (Kem) and Ruth Ann Morgan (Kenneth); and five grandchildren, Jennifer Kurzava, Lauren Price (Chris), Kaylee Parker, Collin Parker, and Claire Parker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, 6800 93 ^rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
