ROBERT NOBLE KEELER

Robert Noble Keeler, age 88, of Belton, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017, at Cullen Funeral Home 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, MO, with visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Belton Cemetery, Belton, MO with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 3846 W. 75th St. Prairie Village, KS 66208 or Wounded Warrior Project 7400 College Blvd Ste 350 Overland Park, KS 66210.

Robert was born November 21, 1928 in Willow Springs, Missouri. He was one of six children, the son of Robert J. Keeler and Bessie Mae McClellan (Keeler). On March 12, 1950 in Willow Springs, Missouri, Robert entered into marriage with Zelma Doris Kentch. Together, Robert and Zelma were blessed with their daughter, Joyce.

Robert served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.

Robert lovingly supported his family as an over the road truck driver and then a yard foreman at Bargain Spot Lumber Yard for many years. He was a member and deacon of the Belton Free Will Baptist Church. He loved playing all kinds of card games especially canasta where he made several friends the majority of the last 8 years at Carnegie Village where he resided. Some would say he was "card shark". Robert was a jack of all trades. He loved to tackle all kinds of projects especially wood.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie; his wife, Zelma of 61 years; three brothers, Marvin, Cecil, and Lowell Keeler; and sister, Pat Keeler Wade.

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Lynn (Keeler) McMurray and husband George; sister, Clara Mitchell; three grandchildren, Cathi Reynolds, Mike McMurray and Terri Valentine (Darrin); four great grandchildren, Stormie, Sebastian, Darien and Sierra; three great, great grandchildren, Avery, Aspen and Adriana; and many nieces and nephews.
