ROBERT LEONARD JOHNSON III

Robert "Bob" Leonard Johnson III, at 63, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

Bob was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 5, 1958 to Robert Leonard Johnson Jr. and Catherine Nell (Sturm). He was raised and attended school in Kansas City, Missouri. Bob worked at the former Baptist Medical Center in 1979 in the transportation department then as an orthopedic technician. This is where he met his future wife, Donna (Glidewell). They were joined in marriage on February 14, 1983 in Miami, Oklahoma. Their union was blessed with two children.

Bob completed his associates degree in nursing at Penn Valley Community in 1991 and began his nursing career in the emergency department at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was also an ICU nurse at Belton Regional Medical Center and prior to his retirement worked for HCA Nurses On-Call as a phone triage nurse.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine Johnson; and a sister, Therese Johnson.

He leaves behind his wife, Donna Johnson; son, Robert Andrew "Drew" Johnson (spouse Megan); daughter Monica Perry (spouse Issac); brothers, Bruce Johnson (spouse Jackie), Paul Johnson, Noel Johnson and Joe Johnson; sister Amy Rogge (spouse Jim), Windy Johnson, and Donna Johnson; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
