Robert Byron Howard, 76, of Raymore, passed away on March 4, 2017 at Foxwood Springs Living Center.
He was born Feb. 23, 1941, to Byron J. and Ann M. (Richardson) Howard in Kansas city, Mo. He attended Rockhurst High School. He attended Rockhurst College where he received a BA in Education and a BSBA in Systems Management. He began his career as a teacher and taught at the Marillac School and Avila College. He moved on and worked for Hallmark Cards Inc., Cook Paint and Varnish Co. and Sioux Chief where he held the positions of Director of Materials Management and Systems Programer. He retired from Sioux Chief in April of 2016.
He was professionally affiliated with Mid-America Telecommunications Association (MATA), and Association of Systems Management (ASIM). He was a member the The Knights of Columbus. He was also affiliated with Toastmasters International, United Campaign-Speakers Bureau, and Junior Achievement Project Business as a Consultant Instructor. Robert served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by two sons, Michael T. Howard (Beth) of San Antonio, Tx., Nicholas L. Howard of Independence, Mo., and one daughter, Christiane A. Howard of Los Angeles, Ca. He is also survived by a sister, Maryanne (Howard) Lanzarotta of Vancouver, Wa.
Robert was a loving father and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
