ROBERT EUGENE (BOB) HARMON

Robert Eugene (Bob) Harmon, 94, of Raymore, Missouri, was called Home to his eternal reward on May 14, 2023.

He was born to R. W. and Grace Harmon on August 11, 1928 in Kansas City. A 1945 graduate of Ruskin High, Bob would go on to make his life and career about serving the people of his community and beyond.

After enlisting in the Marines in 1946 he would later return home and marry JoAnn Wilson. They were happily married for 64 years. He soon joined his father and brother in the R. W. Harmon and Sons bus company. They would go on to transport children to and from school for
nearly four decades.

Among his many roles, his most personally valued and respected role was that of elder and shepherd at Hickman Mills Church of Christ; a role he carried out faithfully for 40 years.

Bob had many gifts, the greatest of which was his genuine love for God and His people. He counted it an honor and a privilege to serve others and share with them all that he had. Florida College was blessed to have Bob serve on the Board of Directors for 30 years, with several years
serving as Chairman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Harmon, Bob's wife JoAnn, and their sons, Bruce and Brett. He is survived by daughter, Denise Hodges (Craig), daughter-in-law, Carol Harmon, nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and countless others, who have been
touched by his love, generosity and service.

Though our hearts are aching, we rejoice in a finished race well-run.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 2-3 pm followed by a service at 3 pm at Cullen Funeral Home Both will 612 W Foxwood Dr. Raymore, MO 64083. Burial will be private on Monday, May 22, 2023
