ROBERT (BOB) DOUGLAS BOZEMAN

Robert (Bob) Douglas Bozeman passed away peacefully Friday August 29, 2014 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri. He was 80.
Robert was born October 22, 1933 in the small Florida Panhandle town of Milton. Born to Thomas and Lillie Mae Bozeman, Robert was the 4th of 5 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his eldest brother Luther John Bozeman and his younger sister Dorothy McGuire. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Dorothy (Dot) Bozeman, his daughter Marilyn Myers and her husband Chris of Peculiar, MO, his granddaughter Niki Myers of Peculiar, MO, and his grandson Shawn Myers, his wife Betsy and his three great-grandchildren Jace, Jack and Taytum all of Garden City, KS.
After graduation from the Escambia Farms School, Robert joined the United States Air Force. He served from 1951-1971 and retired as a Master Sargent. During his time in the service Robert was stationed in Iceland, Japan, Alaska, Turkey and England. Upon retirement from the Air Force, he went on to spend 18 years as a United States Postal Carrier in Lee's Summit, MO and Belton, MO.
In retirement Robert enjoyed many pastimes, he enjoyed playing golf at the Harrisonville Golf Club in Harrisonville, MO. He also enjoyed "pickin" on his guitar and playing music with the guys. Most important of all was spending time with his family. Sunday dinners were something that he took great joy in hosting, occasionally followed by a spirited game of baseball or a family gathering around the TV to cheer on the Chiefs.
Robert leaves behind a legacy of strength, humility, generosity and love. He will truly be missed by all of those who knew him.
Celebration of Life will be 3 PM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Cullen Funeral Home 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, MO 64083 with a visitation 2-3 PM. There will be Military Honors to following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association 3846 W 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
