ROBERT "BOB" E. CUMMINGS

Robert "Bob" E. Cummings, age 86, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away August 5, 2018 at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri.

A Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Saint Sabina Catholic Church in Belton, Missouri, 700 Trevis Ave. Belton, Missouri 64012, with a visitation to follow. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM with an interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64138.

A Memorial Contribution in lieu of flowers may be given to Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas ( http://catholiccharities.org ) or Children's Mercy Kansas City ( http://www.childrensmercy.org ).

Bob was born on June 21, 1932 in El Reno, Oklahoma. He was the son of Noel Cummings and Agnes Gruber Cummings.

Bob is a United States Navy Veteran and served his country towards the end of the Korean War and received much technical training. After committing to 35 years as a Plant Service Supervisor, Bob retired from AT&T in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Bob was united in marriage with his wife Elizabeth "Ann" Cummings on June 5, 1954 and together were blessed with eight children: Philip, Kenneth, Denise, Tim, Theresa, Cheryl, Bryan, and Stacey.

As a member of Saint Sabina Catholic Church, Bob was known in the community for being very involved. Bob was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, previously known as the Holy Name Society. A very family-oriented man, Bob also enjoyed gardening, traveling the world, and meeting with friends for breakfast at Hy-Vee.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; Noel and Agnes Cummings; three brothers, Thomas, Francis, and Donald Cummings; and sister Doris Ritterman.

He is survived by his loving wife Ann Cummings, of 64 years; children Philip Cummings (Debbie), Kenneth Cummings (Denise), Denise Krebs (Paul), Tim Cummings (Jackie), Theresa Earhart (Doug), Cheryl Wray (Steve), Bryan Cummings (Lisa), and Stacey McClish (Chris); siblings, Carolee Sowell, Jeanette Wilbur (John), James Cummings (Barbara), Charles Cummings (Marguerite), Donna McGarry, and Rita Henry (Ted); sister-in-law, Bennye and brother-in-law, Herman; 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
