ROBERT JOSEPH CAHILL
Robert "Bob" Joseph Cahill, age 90, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Raymore Christian Church, 500 Peace Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083
Bob was born in Emporia, Kansas on December 25, 1931 to Eugene Cahill and Ruby (Reid) Cahill. He spent most of his childhood in Sedalia MO attending Smith Cotton High School. After graduating, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He then continued his education achieving his Bachelor of Arts at CMSU where he met the love of his life. In the late fall of 1958 he was joined in marriage with his late wife, Marjorie L. Cahill on November 27th. Their union was blessed with three children, Julie, Danny and Carri. In life Bob was a man of strong Christian faith, lifelong member of the First Christian Church, most recently attending the Raymore Christian Church. He worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City for 25 years. Bob had a passion for aviation, electronics, and an avid sports fan. For many years he ran and operated the camera for the local Foxwood cable channel while Marjorie was hosting the show. Together they had a wonderful life enjoying Florida in the winter and loving on their grandkids and many dogs. Bob being referred to as the true "dog whisperer." He always enjoyed watching the Chiefs, Royals, and the Mizzou Tigers.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of over fifty-eight years, Marjorie Cahill; parents, Eugene and Ruby Cahill; infant daughter, Julie Cahill; brother William Cahill; and niece Rhonda Cahill.
He is survived by his two children, Daniel Cahill (Cathy) and Carri Lamb (Jerry); sister in law, Betty Cahill; five grandchildren, Christopher (Kimberly), Kyle (Amanda), Cameron (Kristen), Jake, and Madison; and four great grandchildren, Reveri, Raegan, Rozlynn, and Carson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64137.
