DONALD EMRICK "RICK" MIESNER

Donald Emrick "Rick" Miesner was born in Noel, Missouri on February 4 ^th , 1956. His parents, Donald L. and Mary Sue raised Rick and his younger brother, John in Grandview, Missouri, where he attended Grandview High School. Rick graduated in 1974 and attended college. Rick and Paula married on February 1 ^st , 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma. The family settled in Raymore, Missouri in 1983. He was a KC Star carrier in the Cass County Region for 11+ years and was in construction as a painter for many years.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue (Martin). Rick is survived by his father, Donald L. Miesner of Grandview, Missouri; his brother, John and Sue Miesner from Belton, Missouri; his wife, Paula and daughter, Amber of the home; his sons, Orion and Karen Kling of Peculiar, Missouri, Aaron and Kami Miesner of Temple, Texas; grandchildren, Isabella, Gavin, Gabriella and Kayla with another grandchild on the way.

Rick enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a wonderful and loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. Rick was blessed with a loving family and many friends throughout the years. He did not want family and friends to be sad for his passing, but to rejoice that he is home with his heavenly father.

The family wants to thank everyone graciously for their prayers, kindness, compassion and words of comfort during his illness and passing. May god bless all of you.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation from 10-11:30 AM. Memorials may be made to Kansas City Hospice House.
