RICHARD R. THOMPSON
Richard R. "Dick" Thompson, 85, of Belton, Missouri passed away January 22, 2013 at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 25, 2013 at CrossPointe Baptist Church with visitation 10-11 AM. Burial will be in Raymore Cemetery. Richard was born October 16, 1927 in Osceola, Missouri, the son of K.W. and Lora Storms Thompson. His occupation was as a successful used furniture and antique dealer. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of CrossPointe Baptist Church. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 63 years, Betty J. Thompson in 2007; brothers, Winston, Clifford, and Bill. He is survived by his daughter, Dixie Sumler and husband Jeff; three grandchildren, Rick (Shelly), Mike (Michelle) and Mark (Christina); six great grandchildren, Lawson and Lauren, Collin and Kayleigh, Morgen and Jayden. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice or CrossPointe Baptist Church Youth Deptartment.
