Richard Murray Albrecht, age 84 of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, at Saint Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis, Ave., Belton, Missouri 64012. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am followed by Mass at 12:00 pm. Celebrate Dick's life from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at Broken Hatchet Brewery, 422 Main Street, Belton, Missouri.
Richard (Dick) was born in Webster City, IA on June 26, 1941, to Brenard Ivan Albrecht and Rita (Hanrahan) Albrecht. Dick graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in 1959. In the summer of 1961, Dick married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Judith Marie (Wirtz) Albrecht on August 26th. Richard worked as a pipefitter joining the Pipefitters Local 533. He later owned a heating and cooling business in Kansas City. He had a lifetime dream to live in Arizona, so he and Judy made it happen, making the move to Scottsdale, AZ in 1985. He then worked in heating and cooling until he retired. Dick held a Catholic faith and was a faithful member of St. Sabina Catholic Church in Belton, Missouri, as well as various Catholic churches in Arizona. His lifetime passion and hobby were buying and selling his favorite cars, he amassed quite a collection. He truly enjoyed spending time with family and so many friends both in KC and in AZ over the years. Also had fun traveling and even made it to Europe with Judy, his son and family, a treasured trip for them.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Rita Albrecht, his brother Jack Albrecht, and his wife, Judith Albrecht.
Dick's is survived by his children: Michele Burke (Michael), Lori Hoy (Jeff), Stephanie Flannagan (Michael), Richard Murray Albrecht Jr. (Kris), Aimee Bishop (Bruce); brother Jim (Albrecht), 10 grandchildren - Ryan, Megan, Colin (Michele), Mallory and Drew (Lori), Kaitlin and John (Stephanie), Keely and Trace (Rick), Emerson (Aimee) and 6 great grandchildren - Isabel and Emily (Mallory), Blake, Addison, Emma and Jack (Drew).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Sabina Catholic Church, address above.
