RENA MAE REAGOR
Rena Mae Reagor died April 18, 2018 in Raymore, MO. She was born November 27, 1927, to Frank and Ruby (McCurdy) Wilson. She was born at her maternal grandparents' house in the small community of Ontario, Knox County, Illinois.
She married William L. Reagor on September 15 1946 at First United Methodist Church, Galesburg, IL.
Surviving are one son, Thomas W. of Kansas City and two daughters, Carole J Hennenfent of Canton GA, and Loretta Martin of Santa Fe, N.M., six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Carole Ann, a half-sister and a half-brother.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1945, lived in Cedar Rapids IA, Quincy, IL, and Macomb IL before returning to Galesburg in 1953.
She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church for many years. She had been a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout leader for a number of years, a volunteer for the FISH of Galesburg Food Pantry, a volunteer tutor for the Carl Sandburg College Literacy Coalition, Treasurer for the Galesburg Fellowship of Churches, and a member of WING (Western Illinois Nature Group).
Most of her working years were spent as a secretary in the insurance and medical fields. She was a secretary at Galesburg State Research Hospital for 12 years, many of those years as secretary in the Thudichum Psychiatric Research laboratory. She also sold real estate in Galesburg for a number of years.
