RAY LEONARD WILBUR

Ray Leonard Wilbur, age 77, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation service will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019 followed immediately by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A burial will be held following the funeral at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri.

Born in Cherokee County, Georgia on December 31, 1941, Ray was the son of Clarence E. Wilbur and Lecie (Millwood) Wilbur. He had a brother, Hugh and a sister, Violet. After graduating high school, Ray served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Stationed primarily in Korea, Ray was very proud of his honorable service. After his time in the military, Ray spent most of his civilian life as a self-employed candy distributor.

In the summer of 1993, Ray was joined in marriage with his loving wife, Linda Jo (Jackson) Wilbur on July 2 ^nd . It was then that Ray was blessed with three children, Christopher, Roxane, and Katrina. In life, Ray enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading the bible, watching old western movies and was a very funny man. However, when it came to music, Ray absolutely loved Elvis Presley and was always ready to watch him live as he attended many concerts. As he spent his most recent years in Missouri, Ray would always call Georgia home.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lecie Wilbur; and brother Hugh Wilbur.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Linda Jo Wilbur; three children, Christopher Lloyd, Roxane Lloyd, and Katrina Lloyd (Don Jones); and sister Violet Page.
