R. "LEE" THOMAS

R. "Lee" Thomas, age 80, of Raymore, MO, passed away April 10, 2016, at Kansas City Hospice House of Kansas City, MO.

Memorial service begins at 11:30 a.m., with visitation from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13th at Cullen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd, KCMO 64145.

Lee Thomas was born March 15, 1936 in Kansas City, MO. He was the son of Marvin E. Thomas and Helen E. (White) Thomas.

After graduating from high school, Lee married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Brand on December 13, 1959. Together they were blessed with two children, Kristen and Robert. Lee worked as a printer and managed the Print Shop at Research Medical Center for 38 years. He was involved in many community activities; District and Council level in Scouting, RMC Credit Union Board, and Morningview Home Owners Association Board. His main passions were photography, camping and canoeing, watching old westerns and dreaming of being a cowboy. He shared 56 years of marriage with his wife and he loved his family. He was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, and he was also a friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Lee Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Helen Thomas; parents-in-law, Pete and Margie Brand; one brother, Ron Thomas; one sister, Patty Thomas Angerman; and one brother-in-law, Don Brand.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; his daughter, Kristen Thomas Bliss, his son, Robert Lee Thomas; two sisters, Marlene Thomas Frakes (Loma) and Sally Thomas Lewis (Joe); sister-in-law's, Connie Cramer and Betty Brand; two granddaughters, Alicia Leeann Bliss (fiancé: Jordan Palser) and Megan M. Pritschet (Michael); and three great-grandchildren, Shiloh Grace, Sophia Leeann, and James Nolan Lee. In addition, Lee has aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
