PHILLIP MARVIN MAYNARD
Phillip Marvin Maynard, age 73, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 310 Johnston Pkwy, Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, Missouri. Phillip was born in Logan, West Virginia on September 4, 1947 to Marvin James Maynard and Edna Mae (Puckett) Maynard. After high school Phillip served his country in the United States Air Force from August 3, 1966 to October 15, 1998. In the summer of 1974 Phillip was joined in marriage with his wife Sherry (Scrivner) on June 8th. Together they were blessed with three sons, Michael, Brett, and Bryan. As a man of Christian faith, Phillip was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Raymore. He was a member of the American Legion Belton, Post #488, the Air Force Sgt. Association, the Air Force Association, and the Disabled American Veterans. In life he loved all kinds of cars, and loved most his children, grandchildren, and family.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Edna Maynard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sherry J. Maynard; three sons, Michael J. Maynard (Dena), Brett A Maynard (Jennifer), and Bryan A. Maynard (Jillian); sister, B. Gayle Van Matre (Mike); and seven grandchildren, Jaquelynne, Jocelyn, John, Reagan, Blake, Brady, and Kaitlyn.
